Simon and I first worked together on this incredibly dreamy shoot, and I was amazed by the mood his use of light and shadow was able to create within the distinctive shots. I feel with these shots, that the context is almost completely removed. These shots could have been taken at any time, in any place.
In this case however, they were taken in Australia's capital, but far removed from the central business district. Canberra has many magnificent outdoor spaces to exploit, and although this was a portraiture exercise for Simon and I, the beautiful natural backdrops often stole the show with their autumn showcase. Simon was excellent in his ability to focus the lens, and get a great blurred effect. Simon is an experienced landscape photographer and a thoroughly pleasant person to work with.
